How to Print Documents, Pictures, Files & Others from Android/Tablet Devices

Android tablets and phones can open and read documents, with the help of several Google and third-party applications. Printing a document requires access to a printer and a matching application. There are several ways to print from Android devices, depending upon your printer access.
STEP 1: Make sure your Google account is already set up. If you have been using your Android tablet or phone for awhile, you would have set up your Google account to use Gmail, Google Play and other Google products on your device.
STEP 2: Download the Google Chrome browser onto a computer that is already connected to a printer.
STEP 3Go to the Google Play app on your device. Download the Cloud Print app. Install it.
STEP 4Open Google Chrome on your computer. Click on the Menu icon in the upper right. The icon is made up of 3 horizontal lines.
STEP 5: Choose Settings from the drop down menu. Once the Settings page loads, scroll to the bottom and click on the “Show Advanced Settings” link.
STEP 6: Scroll until you find the “Google Cloud Print” section. Click on the “Add Printers” button below, which will find printers that are connected to your computer and help you set them up.
  • If you have previously added a printer, there will be a “Manage Print Settings” button that will allow you to change printers
STEP 7: Open your Cloud Print app on your phone or tablet. Complete the set up. It will sync to your Google Cloud Print account.
STEP 8: Go to the file you want to print. Click “Share.” Cloud Print should now be an option in that menu.
STEP 9: Select the print option. Your file should print when your computer is turned on. If it is not currently turned on, it will print the next time you turn on the computer and printer.
